Flying in a fast jet has always been an ambition of mine, so I jumped at the chance of flying in a Hunter.  I arrived at 10 am to be greeted by the keenest and friendlies group of people I have ever met, preparing my aircraft for flight.  After chatting and learning more about the Hunter, I met my pilot for the day, John Hurrell, who has 9,000 hours on jets.  Given my 100 hour PPL this could have been daunting, but John put me at ease immediately.  After a briefing on the use of the ejector seat and full kitting out we were ready to go.
 

Back on the ground it has taken me all weeekend to wipe the smile off my face.  This was a truly memorable day where I met some very dedicated and skilled people, just in love with keeping the Hunter flying.  To end, I would like to thanks everybody for making the day possible, and would recommend anybody that has dreamed of flying in a fast jet to take a flight and keep the the Hunter flying.
